A Guy-vise, automatic guy wire deadend or guy wire strandvise, is a cone-shaped device designed for terminating guy wires and overhead cables.
The structure consists of a cartridge, yoke, and bail, utilizing a finger-trap principle where springprojected
jaws grip the cable. The strand vise features galvanized steel construction for durability and chemical resistance.
The strand vise can accommodate various wire sizes from 3/8″ to 1/2″ and works with different strand types including alum weld, galvanized, aluminized, and EHS steel strand. Installation is straightforward – simply insert the guy wire through the narrow end of the cone, allowing the jaws to automatically grip and establish a secure connection.
The strand vise requires no nuts or torque compression, making it efficient for both overhead and down guy wire applications.
